Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. (CCCC Malaysia) is seeking on-site interpreters to support foreign workers and foremen with real-time Mandarin-English-Malay interpretation.

The role emphasizes accurate communication of construction requirements, safety rules, and work procedures on busy sites across Malaysia. Qualifications

• Must have Mandarin fluency to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Fluent in spoken English and Malay with authentic communication skills.
• Able to adapt to construction site environment and follow work arrangements.
• No prior construction experience required; language proficiency is the top priority.

Responsibilities

• Translate and interpret on-site construction requirements for foreign workers and convey procedures accurately.
• Resolve on-site communication barriers and relay feedback to foremen.
• Assist in on-site coordination for civil, road, field, fencing and pipe network works.
• Support daily on-site communication and interpretation affairs.

Job description

Follow construction foremen on-site at all times, provide real-time on-site interpretation, and accurately convey construction requirements, work procedures, quality standards and safety regulations to foreign workers;

Resolve on-site communication barriers with foreign workers, and timely feedback their operational problems and construction queries to foremen;

Assist in on-site construction coordination for civil works, road works, field works, fencing, pipe networks and other works to ensure smooth construction and zero instruction deviation;

Support daily on-site communication, coordination and general construction site interpretation affairs.

What we're looking for

Must be fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients

Fluent and proficient in spoken English and Malay with authentic communication skills, able to communicate seamlessly with foreign workers and on-site team leaders

Able to adapt to construction site environment, follow work arrangements, work diligently and possess strong execution ability

No prior construction experience required; language proficiency is the top priority
