Job summary

A leading electric vehicle infrastructure company in Malaysia is seeking a Site Supervisor with an engineering background to oversee the installation of EV chargers. You will ensure compliance with electrical codes while coordinating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering degree and 1-3 years of experience in electrical works, preferably in renewable energy or EV solutions. Strong communication skills in English and Malay are essential, and familiarity with EV technologies is a plus.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise site activities for the installation of EV chargers, electrical panels, and related infrastructure;
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, site layouts, and specifications;
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, utility providers, and local authorities;
• Ensure all works comply with electrical codes, safety standards (e.g., IEC, TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and Local Authority regulations in Malaysia), and company policies;
• Conduct site inspections and testing to guarantee the quality of materials and workmanship;
• Provide on-site troubleshooting for electrical or equipment issues;
• Prepare and maintain site reports, progress updates, and as built documentation;
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery;
• Support the project manager in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation; and
• Perform others related duties as may be required by the Management

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduate or minimum 1 – 3 years of working experience in electrical works, preferably in power systems, renewable energy, or electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, single-line diagrams, and grounding systems.
• Familiarity with EV charger technologies (AC & DC fast charging) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin (optional).
• Good problem solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
