Job summary

EV Connection Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design and delivery of EV charging and solar projects in Malaysia. You will conduct site surveys, develop electrical system designs and prepare technical proposals for tender submissions.

You will collaborate with suppliers, contractors and internal teams to ensure compliant, safe, and cost-effective solutions across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering, Architecture or related.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, EV charging or solar projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other electrical design software; PV design/energy modelling knowledge a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to explain technical matters clearly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Possess own transport and willingness to travel to multiple locations.

Job description

Electrical Engineer – EV Charging & Solar

Conduct site survey for EV charging infrastructure and solar energy projects.

Design and develop electrical systems, including equipment sizing, protection schemes, cable sizing, system layouts and Single-Line Diagrams (SLD).

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions based on customer requirements.

Work with suppliers and contractors to obtain pricing, technical specifications and project information for quotation preparation.

Attend customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations, solution development and technical clarifications.

Recommend suitable EV charging, solar PV, BESS and energy management solutions based on customer and project requirements.

Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities to ensure projects are delivered according to technical, quality and safety requirements.

Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant Malaysian standards, regulations, utility and local authority requirements.

Build strong working relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in electrical engineering, EV charging infrastructure, solar PV projects, renewable energy, or related engineering projects.

Proficient in AutoCAD or other electrical design software. Knowledge of electrical simulation, PV design or energy modelling software will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.

Possess own transport and flexible to travel to multiple locations as required.
