Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Engineer to join our project team for a road and infrastructure project in Kuantan, Pahang. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising site construction activities, ensuring all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate site construction activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.

Assist the Project Manager in planning, monitoring, and controlling daily site operations.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor site progress, identify potential issues, and propose corrective actions to maintain project timelines.

Ensure all construction works comply with JKR specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, and technical documents.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including site documentation and records.

Monitor material usage, plant, machinery, and manpower utilization on site.

Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and company requirements.

Attend site meetings and liaise with consultants, authorities, and stakeholders on technical matters.

Resolve technical and construction-related issues arising during project execution.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Site Engineer in roadworks, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.

Experience in JKR infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of road construction, drainage works, earthworks, pavement works, utility coordination, and traffic management.

Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate engineering and construction drawings.

Familiarity with project planning, site supervision, quality control, and construction methodologies.

Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to be based at the project site in Kuantan.
