Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Site Engineer to ensure project work adheres to drawings, specs and method statements. Based on site in Sabah, you will coordinate with engineers, clients and subcontractors to deliver construction activities safely and on schedule.

You hold at least a Diploma and are proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 2–3 years of relevant site experience is required, with M&E familiarity considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with relevant site engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office suite including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• 2–3 years of site engineering experience; M&E familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site work complies with drawings, specs and method statements.
• Review contract specs and project scope to ensure subcontractors understand the work.
• Compile estimates for technical and material needs related to project development.
• Demonstrate understanding of civil engineering techniques for infrastructure works, including setting out and supervising construction activities.
• Coordinate with site personnel, departments, consultants, and clients regarding current site activities, including inspections and audits.
• Prepare and submit site reports promptly.
• Maintain documentation control for drawings and project records.
• Provide regular updates on daily site progress.
• Evaluate operational processes and procedures.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

Job description

Ensure that the assigned site work complies with the provided drawings, technical specifications, and Method Statements.

Review the contract specifications and the project's scope, especially the engineering drawings for construction, to ensure that sub-contractors fully understand the work scope and construction plans.

Compile estimates for technical and material needs related to project development.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of civil engineering techniques for infrastructure works, including setting out and supervising construction activities.

Coordinate with site personnel, departments, consultants, and clients regarding current site activities, including inspections, audits, and visits.

Prepare and submit site reports promptly.

Maintain proper documentation control for drawings, correspondence, and other project records.

Provide regular updates on daily site progress.

Evaluate operational processes and procedures.

Complete tasks as assigned by the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

• The candidate should possess at least a Diploma.
• Skills/ Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience is required for this position.
• Familiarity with M&E works will be considered an advantage.
• Location: Based on site
