Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for facilities engineering, maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure across a large manufacturing campus.
• Ensure high availability/reliability of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, process utilities, water treatment, gas distribution, compressed air, fire protection, and BMS.
• Lead planning and delivery of capital expansion projects and facility modernization.
• Develop long-term facilities strategies aligned with growth and sustainability objectives.
• Drive reliability, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement programs.
• Establish governance over maintenance, asset management, risk management, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, EHS, project management, procurement, and senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, safety, and corporate standards.
• Lead and develop a high-performing facilities engineering organization.

We are partnering with a leading global technology manufacturer to identify a Director of Facilities Engineering who will lead a large-scale facilities organization supporting a highly complex manufacturing ecosystem. This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for site-wide facilities operations, engineering excellence, capital projects, sustainability initiatives, and long-term infrastructure planning.

The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations while enabling business growth through world-class engineering and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for facilities engineering, maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure operations across a large manufacturing campus.


• Ensure high availability and reliability of critical facility systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, process utilities, water treatment, gas distribution, compressed air, fire protection systems, and building management systems.


• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major capital expansion projects, infrastructure upgrades, and facility modernization initiatives.


• Develop and execute long-term facilities strategies aligned with business growth, operational requirements, and sustainability objectives.


• Drive operational excellence programs focused on reliability, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement.


• Establish strong governance over facilities maintenance, asset management, risk management, and business continuity planning.


• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, EHS, project management, procurement, and senior leadership teams to support operational objectives.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, and corporate standards.


• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing facilities engineering organization comprising managers, engineers, and technical specialists.


• Manage substantial operating and capital budgets while balancing cost, quality, reliability, and capacity requirements.


• Champion sustainability, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and environmental stewardship initiatives across the site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Facilities, or related discipline); advanced degree preferred.


• 15+ years of progressive facilities engineering and operations leadership experience within semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, data center, pharmaceutical, or similar highly regulated environments.


• Proven experience managing large-scale facilities operations with critical utility infrastructure and complex engineering systems.


• Demonstrated success leading major capital projects, facility expansions, greenfield developments, or large infrastructure programs.


• Strong understanding of facilities reliability, asset management, utilities engineering, energy management, and operational excellence methodologies.


• Experience managing large engineering organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders.


• Track record of driving safety, compliance, operational performance, and organizational transformation


• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant operational and capital expenditures.
