Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead engineering and process improvement of site facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. You will ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation while guiding cross-functional teams and managing regulatory compliance with local authorities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 10 years in facility systems operation and maintenance within the semiconductor space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in facility systems operation & maintenance.
• Familiarity with semiconductor facilities: clean room, HVAC, CDA, vacuum, SIVL, gas systems, WWTP, chemical distribution.
• Strong design and assessment knowledge of facilities systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Technical leadership; Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Vendor management, documentation and reporting; Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering and process improvement of site facilities, utilities and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia local authorities and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOE, DOSH, etc.).
• Oversee maintenance strategy, improvement projects and cross-functional support for business continuity.
• Prepare technical specifications and scopes of work; oversee design reviews by Central Technical team.
• Conduct commissioning and acceptance procedures upon project completion.
• Drive system efficiency and reliability improvements; manage documentation (P&ID, as-built).
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
