Job summary

Bridge Data Centres Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Site Design Manager to oversee multiple design and construction projects across regional metros, ensuring design intent, budget, and schedule are met.

You will coordinate a consortium of consultants, interface with authorities, and travel to sites to verify constructability and performance against criteria, delivering core-shell and municipal services up to occupancy.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer/Registered Architect with practicing certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of design consultancy experience, including at least 5 years in a principal engineer role.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership and influencing skills.
• Experience in Design Bid Build, Design & Build delivery methods.
• Experience in hyperscale Data Centers is preferred.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin for stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design projects in parallel within budget and schedule.
• Develop design briefs and key metrics to ensure quality and consistency.
• Hold consultants accountable for design deliverables and intent.
• Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of planners, engineers and enviro consultants.
• Partner with suppliers to drive safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Site Design Manager is accountable for completing multiple projects in parallel (both greenfield and fit out), within budget and program.
• The project will span across regional metros. This role must develop design brief & key metrics to ensure consistency in design quality and requirements.
• As such, the Site Design Manager holds consultant and professional team accountable for meeting the project design intent and deliverables.
• They will manage a consortium of consultants and professional team which includes but not limited to town planner, architect, civil & structural engineer, mechanical and electrical engineer, environmental consultant, LEED consultant, and geotechnical engineer.
• Partner with suppliers and designers to drive improvement initiatives in safety, efficiency and sustainability.
• This role will involve traveling to sites to ensure the method of construction, site coordination and equipment performance meets design criteria, concurrent maintainability and reliability standards.

KEY DELIVERABLES

REQUIREMENTS

• Professional Engineer/Registered Architect with practicing certifications preferred
• 10+ years of experience in design consultancy with at least 5 years in principal engineer position
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, leadership & influencing skills
• Experience in Design Bid Build, Design & Build and other design delivery methodology
• Experience in hyperscale Data Center is preferred
• Working Proficiency in English and Mandarin to partner key internal and external stakeholders
