Job summary

Secretlab is seeking an experienced leader to own and scale New Product Introduction across Design, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing to deliver high-quality, cost-effective product launches.

You will drive DFM/DfX and work with suppliers while building a capable NPI team, with opportunities to shape strategy and processes for long-term success. This role requires regional travel and potential relocation to Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years in product industrialization or NPI, preferably hardware/consumer electronics.
• At least 5 years of experience managing technical or cross-functional teams.
• Proven success launching complex products and addressing manufacturing challenges at scale.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, DfX, DFMEA and tooling for plastics, foam, and cast metal.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate to manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication to align stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin for supplier collaboration.
• Willingness to travel regionally; Malaysia-based candidates open to relocating to Singapore.
• Background in consumer electronics, lifestyle hardware, or furniture.
• Proficiency in CAD software: SolidWorks, Creo, NX.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPI projects from design collaboration through pilot builds to full-scale production.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to optimize manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Drive DFM, DfX, and DFMEA to improve production outcomes.
• Develop manufacturing solutions by identifying and assessing new technologies and processes.
• Review mechanical designs and tolerances for manufacturability and factory capabilities.
• Manage risks and opportunities relating to timelines, costs, and quality.
• Ensure manufacturing deliverables ahead of EVT, DVT, and PVT milestones.
• Build and continuously improve NPI processes, playbooks, and review structures.
• Mentor NPI engineers and plan future hiring/talent development.
• Align launch priorities with senior leadership across functions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and manufacturing innovations.
• Support broader operational transformation initiatives.
