Shop Assistant (Part Time, KK SUPERMART Saujana Putra (SPT))

About the role KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team at KK SUPERMART Saujana Putra in Jenjarom, Selangor. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-organised retail environment. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the friendly face of our supermarket, helping customers find what they need whilst ensuring our store remains clean, welcoming and properly stocked. Your contribution directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our retail operations.

Key responsibilities

Assist customers with product inquiries and help them locate items throughout the store

Process transactions at the checkout with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash and card payments professionally

Stock shelves neatly and rotate products according to stock rotation procedures

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including aisles, shelves and customer areas

Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to supervisors

Provide friendly and courteous service to all customers, addressing their concerns and complaints professionally

Assist with promotional activities, product displays and merchandising as directed

Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards

Support other team members to create a cohesive and efficient working environment

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse customers

A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine interest in helping others

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment

Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate boxes

Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if required
