Shop Assistant (Full Time, KK SUPER MART Saujana Putra (2) (SPT2))

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join the team at KK SUPER MART Saujana Putra (2) in Jenjarom, Selangor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining store operations that contribute directly to the success of KK Group of Companies (Retail). Your work will be based on-site at our retail location, where you will interact with customers daily and support the smooth running of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service to all shoppers, addressing queries and assisting with product selection
• Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are arranged neatly and in accordance with store standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including aisles, checkouts and storage areas
• Operate the till accurately and process customer transactions, including cash and card payments
• Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking stock against delivery notes
• Help with stock rotation and monitoring inventory levels to identify items requiring replenishment
• Support promotional activities and merchandise displays as directed by management
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily store targets and objectives

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, though we will consider enthusiastic candidates with no prior experience
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Physical capability to lift and carry stock items, stand for extended periods and move around the store regularly
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work various shifts as required by the store
• Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous
• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and develop within the retail sector
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of store presentation
