• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• A friendly and professional demeanour with a genuine desire to help customers
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate item sizes
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varying shift patterns
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with using point-of-sale systems
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store procedures and company policies

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with product enquiries and helping them locate items throughout the store
• Processing customer transactions at the checkout with accuracy and efficiency
• Stocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring proper organisation and presentation
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including aisles, shelves and customer areas
• Handling stock rotation and monitoring expiry dates to ensure product quality and safety
• Supporting the implementation of store promotions and ensuring promotional materials are clearly displayed
• Reporting any stock issues, damaged goods or customer concerns to management
• Contributing to a positive and welcoming shopping environment for all customers
• Assisting with receiving and unpacking deliveries as required

About the role
KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team at KK SUPERMART Saujana Putra (3) in Jenjarom, Selangor. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the smooth operation of our retail store. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our supermarket, ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience whilst supporting the broader retail operations of our store. This role is essential to our commitment to providing quality service and maintaining our stores to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

Assisting customers with product enquiries and helping them locate items throughout the store

Processing customer transactions at the checkout with accuracy and efficiency
