About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team at KK SUPER MART Jalan Sultan Ismail (2) in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the smooth day-to-day operations of our store. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our retail establishment, ensuring that every customer receives a positive shopping experience whilst supporting the wider team in achieving our sales and service objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing friendly, efficient and helpful customer service to all shoppers, assisting them in locating products and answering enquiries
• Operating the till and processing customer transactions accurately and promptly
• Maintaining store cleanliness, organisation and visual merchandising standards throughout the day
• Restocking shelves and displays with products, ensuring items are correctly priced and presented attractively
• Handling stock deliveries, unpacking goods and rotating inventory as needed
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies or shortages to management
• Supporting promotional activities and ensuring effective implementation of in-store displays
• Assisting with general store maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Adhering to all health, safety and company policies at all times
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a positive team environment and efficient store operations

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple tasks
• Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude towards work
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and move stock, and perform repetitive tasks
• Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with electronic point-of-sale systems (training provided)
• A neat, professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
