Shop Assistant (Full Time, KK SUPER MART Bangsar (BT))

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join the KK SUPER MART team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our retail operations, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our store to the highest standards. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring our customers have a positive experience every time they visit our store.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, efficient service at all times
• Processing customer transactions accurately at the till, handling cash and card payments with care
• Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are neatly arranged and clearly priced
• Maintaining a clean and organised store environment, including aisles, fitting rooms and checkout areas
• Assisting customers in locating products and providing product information and recommendations
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary
• Participating in stock management activities, including receiving deliveries and conducting stock checks
• Following health and safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Supporting promotional activities and point-of-sale displays as directed by management
• Working collaboratively with team members to achieve store targets and objectives

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential for motivated candidates
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
• Reliability and punctuality with a positive, flexible attitude towards shift work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and processing transactions
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and lift and carry merchandise safely
• Willingness to learn company systems, procedures and product knowledge quickly
• A neat appearance and commitment to maintaining professional standards
