About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join the team at KK SUPER MART Jalan Ipoh. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic retail environment. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our store. Key responsibilities

Provide friendly and efficient customer service to all shoppers, assisting them with product enquiries and locating items throughout the store

Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are neatly arranged and clearly labelled with accurate pricing information

Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently during checkout transactions, handling cash and card payments with precision

Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including aisles, fitting areas and stockroom facilities

Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages or damaged goods to management

Unload and process incoming deliveries, checking items against delivery notes for accuracy

Assist with promotional activities and window displays to attract and engage customers

Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

Support team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a supermarket or similar retail environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues

Physical capability to lift and carry stock items, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks

Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to maintaining consistent attendance

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required by the store

Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems or similar technology (training will be provided)

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of merchandising and store presentation

A positive attitude, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service
