Job summary

RGE is seeking a Logistics/Shipping Coordinator to manage cargo container movements between ships, trucks, and freight. You will optimize customs flow to minimize port time and ensure timely shipments, with responsibilities spanning vessel applications, documentation, and liaison with transport providers.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree and has 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, with willingness to relocate to Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Arrange vessel applications to port and coordinate movements of cargo containers.
• Monitor vessel activities including spare parts delivery and repairs.
• Process inbound/outbound orders and prepare shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with internal and external transport providers for timely shipments.
• Ensure permits are declared and shipments are delivered and cleared promptly.
• Identify non-conformances and propose corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

Managing the movement of cargo containers between cargo ships, trucks and freight and optimizing the flow of goods through customs to minimize the amount of time a ship spends in port.

• Responsible for arranging new vessel's application to port.
• Monitor vessel activities such as spare parts delivery and repair works.
• Responsible to in-coming and out-going order processing and shipping documentation, including generating delivery/shipping documents.
• Liaise with internal and external transport companies/departments for timely in-coming/ out-going shipments.
• Ensure prompt and accurate declaration of permits and prompt delivery and clearance of shipments.
• Investigate and action all non-conformance and recommend corrective actions.

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

• A degree in the related job field.
• Those with 1 to 2 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage but not essential.
• Willing to relocate to the job location.
