Job summary

AT&S AUSTRIA TECHNOLOGIE & SYSTEMTECHNIK (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Night Shift Production Lead to assist the Director of production management in overseeing operational level staff and to drive safety, quality, cost, output and lead time adherence.

The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, coaching staff, and leading night shift pass-downs while ensuring compliance with company regulations. Night/weekend duties are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in technical and management education.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing working experience.
• Willing to work on night shift or on weekend duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of production management to manage and oversee the operational level employees.
• Lead night shift to meet safety, quality, cost, output and lead time requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional departments to ensure resources and priorities meet performance indicators.
• Coach and motivate staff to achieve operation KPIs in a positive manner.
• Chair night shift passdown meetings and provide comprehensive reports on highlights, lowlights and actions.

Job description

• Assist Director of production management to manage and oversee the operational level employees
• Highest commanding officer for night shift operation to meet the safety, quality, cost, output and lead time requirements
• Coordinating cross-functional departments (Production/MNT/Quality/EHS/Facility) to ensure the right resources and priorities to meet the defined performance indicators
• Taking up leadership role in assessing, coaching and motivating staff to deliver operation key KPI in a positive manner.
• Meeting all routine operation KPI‘s (Output/Cycle time/6S/Quality/Cost/key lots movement).
• Chairing and directing the night shift passdown meeting with cross functional team participation.
• Provide comprehensive pass down report listing all highlight/lowlight as well as open action to be followed up.
• Coordinating production and cross functional team resources to meet operation key KPI deliverables
• Highest in command responsible for emergency case (Power trip/ Natural disaster/ Safety) handling during nights shift operation
• Continuously ensuring production tasks on the premises are completed with compliance on relevant safety production regulations.
• Ensure to manage well and integrate cross department and ensure employees are meeting full compliance to company rules and expectation.
• Continuous Identify possible threats/risks and opportunities with production management informed
• Follow through ad-hoc critical manufacturing related activities
• Ensure that the assigned ad-hoc task is carried out effectively and timely manner.
