Job summary

AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Operations to drive process improvements for IC substrate fabrication and to lead NPI ramps from pilot to mass production. The role requires collaboration across Process, Quality, R&D and Equipment Engineering to fix lead times and maintain documentation.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 2 years in operations, with cleanroom experience in semiconductor or PCB

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations.
• Experience in semiconductor/PCB/substrate fabrication; cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, JMP; Six Sigma.
• Carry out productivity improvement projects.
• Cross-functional teams coordination and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve production processes for IC substrate fabrication in mechanical operation.
• Analyze process data history to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring smooth ramp-up from pilot to mass production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, Quality, R&D, Equipment Engineering) to resolve lead time issues for improvement.
• Create and maintain process documentation such as SOPs, control plans, PFMEAs, and process flow charts.
• Specify and validate new tools, jigs or fixtures for high-precision substrate manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
• Support customer audits, technical reviews, and documentation related to product qualifications and change control.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in operations.
• Experience inSemiconductor or PCB or Substrate Fabrications, Wafer Fabrication or equivalent, (required to work in clean room enviroment)
• Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, JMP Software, Six Sigma Process tools
• Carry out productivity improvement projects
• Crossed functional teams coordination and execution
• Able to work under tight schedule to deliver result
