Duties And Responsibilities
The M&E Technician is responsible for driving maintenance programs (including routine inspection, corrective and preventive activities) with a focus on system reliability, with the application of Best Practices and wide range of engineering principles and practices to:
- Implement mandatory routine inspections in conformance to Standard Operating Procedures and reliability governance.
- Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading.
- Lead emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading.
- Facilitate and administer reliability improvement projects including isolation and Testing and Commissioning, and other experimental simulations.
- Interface directly with clients to identify and analyse critical needs, define problems, and develop specifications to guide the solution process.
- Familiar with basic Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical system knowledge. Ability to perform 1st level troubleshooting & assist System Engineers to resolve any arising issues.
- Able to perform minimum or basic rectifications - hands on or basic skills in Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical systems.
- Implement risk assessment which identifies operational risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental.

- Drive initiatives and strategies that lead to cost savings and service improvement.
Energy Conservation and Innovation
- Support initiatives and strategies for energy conservation with feasibility assessment, cost, optimization, and engineering analyses.
Customer Service and Client Relationships
- Ensure feedback from client are recorded and action taken to the satisfaction of the end user. Lead by example in achieving maximum client satisfaction level.
Reporting
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all information reported associated with Daily Shift Ops Report, Weekly MRM Report, Monthly Report, Risk Assessment, BAR, Maximo PM Closure and other imperative updates.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Individual Performance Agreement (IPMP) for Key Performance Measures.
Academic Qualification, Professional Experience
- Candidate must possess a minimum Diploma in Engineering discipline, with considerable hands-on working experience in facilities engineering.

- Able to work independently, possess integrity and a right sense of urgency to meet deadlines, including work irregular hours and occasional travel if any urgent support.
- Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Other Prerequisites
- Able to work on 12 hours shifts
