The M&E Technician is responsible for driving maintenance programs (including routine inspection, corrective and preventive activities) with a focus on system reliability, with the application of Best Practices and wide range of engineering principles and practices.
Key responsibilities
Implement mandatory routine inspections in conformance to Standard Operating Procedures and reliability governance
Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading
Lead emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading
Facilitate and administer reliability improvement projects including isolation and Testing and Commissioning, and other experimental simulations
Interface directly with clients to identify and analyse critical needs, define problems, and develop specifications to guide the solution process
Perform 1st level troubleshooting and assist System Engineers to resolve any arising issues
Perform minimum or basic rectifications with hands on or basic skills in Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical systems
Implement risk assessment which identifies operational risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental
Drive initiatives and strategies that lead to cost savings and service improvement
Support initiatives and strategies for energy conservation with feasibility assessment, cost, optimization, and engineering analyses
Ensure feedback from clients are recorded and action taken to the satisfaction of the end user
Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all information reported associated with Daily Shift Ops Report, Weekly MRM Report, Monthly Report, Risk Assessment, BAR, Maximo PM Closure and other imperative updates
About you
Considerable hands-on working experience in facilities engineering
Able to work independently with integrity and a right sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Able to work irregular hours and occasional travel if any urgent support is required
Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus
Good written and oral communication skills
Able to work on 12 hours shifts
Familiar with basic Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical system knowledge
