Job summary

The Arnott's Group in Malaysia is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead a team of operators and technicians on a daily basis. You will drive output targets safely and efficiently, coaching the team and monitoring KPIs to improve OEE and quality.

You will coordinate with Planning/Warehouse, manage downtime, waste, and process issues, and foster a culture of discipline, problem-solving, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/ E&E/ Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of supervisory experience leading operators and technicians.
• Working knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO).
• Familiar with lean/ CI tools and structured problem-solving.
• Strong leadership, discipline, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Shift leadership & execution: lead operators/ technicians, coordinate schedules and RM readiness with Planning/Warehouse, and deliver daily production targets with strong discipline.
• Line performance & troubleshooting: monitor line efficiency and quality, resolve equipment/ process issues fast, and minimize downtime, waste, and shortfalls.
• KPI tracking & reporting: track OEE, machine utilization, volume, overtime spend, downtime, yield, waste and defects, and drive corrective actions.
• Coaching & capability building: train and coach the team on process/ equipment/ safety, support cross-training and continuous improvement, and manage performance reviews and feedback.
