Job summary

KOSSAN is seeking a proactive Production Shift Engineer to oversee daily operations on rotating shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM). You will drive efficiency in dipping, layering and stripping, ensuring output targets and product quality are met.

You will monitor machine performance, coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance team, and uphold GMP, 5S and safety standards while leading shift personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in glove manufacturing.
• Knowledge of production processes, preventive maintenance, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good leadership, communication, and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and coordinate daily production activities to achieve output and quality targets.
• Supervise Dipping, Layering and Stripping operations to ensure efficient production performance.
• Monitor production parameters, machine performance, downtime, scrap and product quality, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and follow up on equipment issues with the Maintenance team.
• Optimize machine performance and utilities consumption to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead and supervise shift manpower, including workforce allocation, overtime and training.
• Coach and develop production personnel to improve competency and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, 5S, SOPs, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Conduct shift briefings, Gemba Walks and safety inspections to promote a safe and productive workplace.

Job Requirements

Able to work on a rotating shift schedule: 8AM to 4PM / 4PM to 12AM / 12 AM to 8AM

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the glove manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of production processes, preventive maintenance, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.

Good leadership, communication, and people management skills.
