Job summary

Anticimex Pest Management Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Pest Control Technician to service residential, commercial, industrial, and food manufacturing premises. You will inspect, treat, and maintain monitoring devices, while communicating findings and recommendations to clients.

The role requires SPM or equivalent, a valid Class D driving licence, and a positive, customer-focused approach. Training will be provided, and travel within the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent is required.
• Experience in pest control is an advantage; fresh graduates may apply as training will be provided.
• Valid Malaysian driving licence (Class D) is required.
• Valid GDL and PAL is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.
• Willing to travel within the service area.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled pest control services at residential, commercial, industrial, and food manufacturing premises.
• Perform inspections to identify pest activity, infestation sources, and potential risks.
• Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and service pest monitoring devices, bait stations, and traps.
• Prepare accurate service reports, treatment records, and recommendations after each service visit.
• Communicate professionally with customers by explaining treatment findings, preventive measures, and follow-up recommendations.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, chemicals, and company vehicles are maintained in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations when handling pesticides and equipment.
• Respond to customer complaints and urgent service requests promptly and professionally.
• Attend training sessions to maintain technical knowledge and compliance with industry standards.
• Support other operational activities and perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Operations Manager.

• Possession of a valid GDL (Goods Driving Licence) and PAL (Pesticide Applicator Licence) will be an added advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights when required.
• Willing to travel within the assigned service area.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operationally required.
