Job summary

MYS1 Carrier (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a pump operator/mechanic to maintain and repair pumps within the rental fleet in Malaysia. The role involves offshore and onshore pump operations, site mobilisations and coordination with customers to plan preventive maintenance and repairs.

Candidate should have hands-on pump experience, diesel engine knowledge and the ability to work in shifts, including offshore deployments. Safety compliance is a core requirement for all activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience as a pump operator or mechanic.
• Knowledge in repair and maintenance of mechanical seal pumps.
• Understanding of diesel engine; overhaul experience a plus.
• Able to read, write and converse in English.

• Inspection, servicing and testing of pumps of various capacities focusing on diesel engine driven pumps.
• Operate pumps on-site, both onshore and offshore.
• Mobilise and demobilise pumps and accessories onsite.
• Perform basic maintenance on diesel engines.
• Coordinate with logistics and sourcing teams for transportation and parts purchases.
• Liaise with customers on preventive maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Attend to troubleshooting at site.
• Work with engineers on site surveys to fulfill requirements.
• Ensure safety compliance in workshop and on site at all times.

Role Responsibilities

• Inspection, servicing and testing of pumps of various capacities focusing on diesel engine driven pumps
• Operation of pumps on-site, both onshore and offshore
• Carry out mobilisation and demobilisation of pumps and its accessories onsite
• Perform basic maintenance on diesel engine
• Coordination with logistics and sourcing team for transportation and parts purchase respectively
• Liaise with customers on preventive maintenance schedule as well as repairs required
• Attend to troubleshooting at site
• Work with engineer to attend to site surveys to fufil
• Ensure safety compliance in both workshop and onsite at all times

Role Purpose

To work on the maintenance and repairs of existing pump within the rental fleet in Malaysia Supervise any site mobilisation and installation required by customer Operations of pumps offshore and advise customers on how to utilise the pump efficiently to fulfil their project requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands on experience as a pump operator or mechanic
• Knowledge in repair and maintenance of mechanical seal pumps
• Understanding of diesel engine and able to do overhaul is a plus
• Able to read, write and converse in English
• Able to work on shift rotations
• Able to work offshore with relevant offshore certification like BOSIET and TSBB is a plus
