Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking technicians to inspect, maintain, and service elevators and escalators at customer sites and workshops.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, record-keeping of service reports, and adherence to safety procedures. Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply, with training provided as needed.

Candidate must be physically fit, able to work independently or as part of a team, and hold a valid Malaysian Class D driving license.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or certificate/diploma in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience in repairing machinery or heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Able to troubleshoot and carry out repair works with minimum supervision.
• Computer diagnostic competence.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and servicing for elevator and escalator.
• Attend breakdowns and troubleshoot to restore operation.
• Carry out monthly maintenance and servicing for elevator and escalator.
• Prepare service and repair reports and maintain proper records.
• Follow company safety procedures and perform duties assigned by Supervisor/Management.
• Work at customer sites and in workshop as required.

Job description

Perform inspection, maintenance, servicing, to attend breakdown and do trouble shooting of the elevator and escalator.

To carry out monthly maintenance and servicing for elevator and escalator.

Carry out inspection and testing to ensure equipment is safe and in good working condition.

Prepare service and repair reports and maintain proper records.

Follow company safety procedures and perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Management.

Requirement:

• Minimum SPM or Certificate or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, or Heavy Equipment Maintenance (SKM Level 1/2/3, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia or equivalent)
• Experience in repairing machinery or heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Able to troubleshoot and carry out repair works with minimum supervision.
• Computer diagnostic competence
• Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and workshop and welding equipment.
• Physically fit and willing to work at customer site and workshop.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving license (Class D).
