Job summary

Hach Malaysia Water Quality Platform is seeking a Service Engineer – IST to provide in-house service, calibration, maintenance and customer support for analytical instruments in Selangor, Malaysia.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering and has at least 3 years of hands-on service experience. Responsibilities include calibration, issuing certificates, and occasional on-site visits to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in service, maintenance and repair.
• Strong hands-on experience in servicing, maintenance, and calibration of technical equipment.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in English; driving license and own car.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal servicing and calibration tasks.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance on equipment submitted for inspection.
• Handle customer instruments and calibration equipment.
• Follow calibration procedures to ensure accurate results and issue certificates.
• Maintain documentation and organize the service area.
• Provide customer support for instrument use and maintenance.
• Manage CRS for service tracking and quotes.
• Assist with troubleshooting and warranty claims.
• Occasionally visit customer sites for detailed assessments.
