Job summary

Shimadzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring a field service specialist to perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for Shimadzu Analytical/Scientific instruments. You will support the Sales Team and CSC to ensure timely installations and service, with travel to outstation sites and a training period at the Selangor HQ.

Fresh graduates or those with related experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Bachelor in Electronic/Electrical field; chemistry background will be an advantage.

• Willing to travel outstation.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, PM, troubleshooting and repair jobs.
• Assist department manager to ensure sales orders are completed on time including payment collection.
• Assist in lab management and equipment upkeep and demonstrations.
• Inform and update Sales Team and CSC to ensure efficient product installation.
• Follow up on invoicing and collection with Finance.

Perform after sales service activities for all Shimadzu Analytical/Scientific products, including but not limited to Chromatographic, Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry and Environtmental Instruments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

To undertake and perform installation, Preventive Maintenance (PM), troubleshooting and repair jobs assigned.

Provide assistance to department manager to ensure every sales order can be completed on time including but not limited to payment collection.

To provide assistance in demo laboratory management including but not limited to laboratory and demo equipment upkeep, equipment demonstration activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide departmentmanager market updates, competitor's activities and business opportunites and other relevant market information

To participate in all training activities undertaken by the department and the company

To prepare and report weekly update on details funnel, activities and sales/work status to Department Manager

To participate in all initiatives and growth strategies undertaken by the department and company

To clearly inform, update, communicate and cooperate with Sales Team and Customer Support Center (CSC) to ensure efficient product installation.

To follow through on product service and installation process and ensure customer's expectations are met.

To abide by all company's policies and procedures.

To follow up and assist finance department on invoicing and collection monitoring

To manage personal leave plan to ensure leave carry forward to the following year does not exceed 3 days

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma/ Bachelor Degree in Electronic/ Electrical, or related engineering field. With some chemistry background will be an advantage.

Fresh graduate / those have relevant working experience are welcome to apply.

Willing to travel outstation

Able to work independently

Require to go through 6 months training at Selangor office (HQ)
