Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Service Engineer in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, to support the healthcare equipment lifecycle. The role blends onsite and remote work within a hybrid model, focusing on uptime, calibration, and service coordination for medical devices and laboratory equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a biomedical/engineering degree and 3+ years in equipment servicing, with familiarity in SAP Ariba and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in equipment servicing, field service, technical support, or maintenance engineering.
• Experience in medical devices, laboratory equipment, or regulated industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality systems, preventive maintenance, calibration, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP Ariba or equivalent procurement systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support equipment repair, troubleshooting, calibration, preventive maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Develop and maintain equipment service schedules to ensure optimal equipment uptime and reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and work with service providers to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Report device-related complaints to the Complaint Handling Team.
• Implement Quality Control (QC) and cleaning procedures through service providers (4PL).
• Ensure all service activities comply with SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate service, maintenance, calibration, and quality records.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Coordinate and monitor service activities performed by 4PL partners.
• Ensure 4PL providers adhere to company SOPs, quality standards, and service requirements.
• Manage certification and calibration of service tools used by internal teams and external service providers.
• Conduct periodic reviews of service performance and compliance.
• Conduct periodic training for service providers (4PL) team.
• Manage spare parts inventory to support repair and maintenance activities.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Manage parts procurement and purchase requests through Ariba.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers (4PL) to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Ensure all service activities are conducted in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Promote a zero-non-compliance safety culture.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company, customer, and product information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare service reports for the Service Manager.
• Support any Medsurg related service tasks as assigned by Service Manager.

Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Equipment Service & Maintenance

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
