Our client Arkoweight (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Service Engineer (On-Site Services & Calibration) to join their team!
This is an opportunity to build hands‑on expertise in the installation, calibration, repair and maintenance of weighing equipment used across different industries, while supporting customers and ensuring equipment accuracy and compliance.
What you'll be doing?
- Calibration and testing: Calibrate weighing equipment using appropriate weights and techniques to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and ISO standards.
- Installation and setup: Install and set up platform scales, bench scales, tank scales and other weighing systems before client handover.
- Maintenance and repair: Carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, replace damaged parts and complete necessary repairs.
- Customer support: Educate clients on equipment use and maintenance, address concerns and coordinate timely service appointments.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain service records, calibration logs, inspection reports and detailed client service reports.
- Quality and safety compliance: Complete all work in line with relevant health, safety, quality and industry standards.
Who are they looking for?
- Engineering qualification: A minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Relevant experience: At least two years of engineering experience is required, preferably in on-site calibration work complying with ISO 17025.
- ISO 17025 knowledge: Good knowledge of ISO 17025 standards will support accurate and compliant calibration work.
- Technical understanding: Good knowledge of mathematics and electrical measurement terminology will support effective diagnosis and testing.
- Software capability: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD and SolidWorks will support documentation and technical work.
- PLC communication: Good knowledge of PLC communication is required for working with relevant equipment systems.
- Weighing equipment experience: Experience using, servicing or calibrating weighing balances, weighing scales or load cell systems is an advantage.
- Work eligibility: Malaysian nationality is required for this position.
