Overview

Position Overview

Position — Service Delivery Coordinator – Data Center Cabling & Hardware Works

The Service Delivery Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating end-to-end service delivery activities in the data center, with a focus on structured cabling works, rack & stack installations, and hardware refresh projects. This role ensures that all activities are executed in compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and organizational policies. The coordinator serves as the central point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication, timely execution, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Cabling Works

  • Coordinate the installation, testing, labeling, and documentation of copper and fiber cabling.
  • Ensure cabling activities comply with TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and data center standards.
  • Maintain accurate patching schedules, MOPs, and as-built records.

Rack & Stack Activities

  • Plan and oversee the installation of servers, network devices, and storage systems into racks.
  • Ensure proper cable management, power distribution, and airflow optimization.
  • Verify rack layouts, equipment labeling, and update inventory records.

Hardware Refresh & Delivery

  • Coordinate the delivery, staging, and secure movement of IT equipment into the data center.
  • Manage hardware refresh projects, including decommissioning, replacement, and asset tagging.
  • Liaise with vendors and logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with security requirements.
  • Oversee proper disposal or return of decommissioned equipment.

Operational Coordination

  • Track and monitor service requests, incidents, and change tickets related to cabling and hardware works.
  • Support troubleshooting of cabling faults and installation issues.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and management.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and work standards.
  • Ensure all works comply with data center access control, security, and EHS requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data center operations, service coordination, or structured cabling work.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems, rack & stack best practices, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking equipment).
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Certification in data center or cabling standards (e.g., BICSI, DCIM) is an advantage.
