Job summary

Shangri-La Hotels (Malaysia) Berhad in Penang is seeking a Service Associate - Finance Risk Control to join our finance team. You will monitor stocks, prepare daily F&B cost reports and assist in cost control measures across outlets.

The successful candidate has a diploma or degree in accounting or costing, 2–3 years in a similar role, and a strong command of MS Excel. You will work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Costing.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role.
• Proficient in MS Excel and general accounting concepts.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Citizen or permanent resident of Malaysia due to work permit restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock across F&B and general inventories to provide cost figures.
• Prepare daily F&B cost reports.
• Record inter-kitchen and inter-bar costs for each outlet.
• Conduct regular stock spot checks and assist month-end inventory.
• Support portion control with the F&B Chef.

We are looking forService Associate - Finance Risk Controlto join our team!

As our Service Associate - Finance Risk Control, we rely on you to:

• Responsible for monitoring of all food, beverage and general stocks to provide accurate and timely cost figures for operations.
• Preparing daily F&B Cost Report
• Daily cost and recording of inter-kitchen and inter bar on the individual kitchen and outlets
• Conduct regular spot checks on against inventory
• Participates in the month end inventory taking
• Portion control checks are carried out with F&B Chef

We are looking for someone who:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Costing or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to work long.
• Good knowledge of personal computing.
• General knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a confident and tactfulIs a strong team player.
• Good interpersonal & communication skill.
