MCOWORK Solutions SDN BHD is seeking a Server Hardware Repair Engineer specializing in GPU and Data Center systems to join our technical team in Johor. The role focuses on diagnosing on-site hardware faults, replacing components, running tests, and documenting outcomes to SLA standards.

You will coordinate maintenance work orders, schedule site visits, and ensure maximum uptime for clients' server infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or above in CS, EEE, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of server hardware repair experience.
• Proficient with GPU server architectures (NVIDIA series) and repair tools.
• Familiar with Linux commands (lspci, dmidecode, ipmitool).
• Strong communication and on-site service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify maintenance work orders and SLA requirements.

Server Hardware Repair Engineer (GPU/Data Center)

MCOWORK Solutions SDN BHD is seeking a skilled and experienced Server Hardware Repair Engineer specialising in GPU and Data Center systems to join our growing technical team. This is a full-time position based in Johor, where you will take on a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing critical server infrastructure that powers our operations and client services.

As a Server Hardware Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for receiving and scheduling maintenance work orders, diagnosing on-site hardware faults, replacing faulty components, and completing all required documentation to SLA standards. This role is essential to ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance of our clients' server and GPU infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Receive maintenance work orders assigned by the coordinator; verify SLA requirements, customer information, equipment information, fault description, repair history, and recommended spare parts
• Contact customers to schedule site visits within 15 minutes for 2H/4H work orders and within 60 minutes for NBD (Next Business Day) work orders
• Upon arrival, verify server and system information consistency and affix maintenance labels; use diagnostic tools and commands (lspci/BMC logs/black box data) to locate faults, recording original slot information and SN of faulty components
• Requisition and verify spare parts per the Spare Parts Usage Management Standard; replace faulty CPU/GPU/memory/hard drive/power module/external board components
• Run stress tests and diagnostic tests after replacement to verify faults are resolved, confirming no blue screen/freeze/reboot/network/disk performance issues
• Complete an on-site maintenance report within 24 hours of each visit, covering service time, fault details, diagnostic process, replacement record, and test results, in the Technical Center standard format
• Close work orders within 3 days of customer confirmation, ensuring spare parts requests are closed, SLA shortfall reasons are documented, and customer sign-off is recorded
• Return faulty parts to the warehouse after on-site replacement (where customer has not purchased non-recovery service); report immediately if customer refuses to return parts
• Complete RMA/ARMA spare parts shipment, remote customer guidance, and return tracking (ARMA returns within 15 business days); follow up weekly until all parts are returned
• Report exceptions such as incorrect contact information, inability to confirm visit time, unreachable customers, or damaged/insufficient spare parts per the exception handling policy

What we're looking for

• Associate degree or above, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of server hardware repair experience; proficient with multimeters, torque screwdrivers, BGA rework stations, and other repair tools
• Proficient in GPU server architecture (NVIDIA H100/H200/H800/B200/B300 series), able to independently perform GPU board-level fault diagnosis and replacement
• Familiar with Linux systems; able to run hardware diagnostic commands such as lspci, dmidecode, and ipmitool
• Understanding of GPU ECC error types (SRAM Uncorrectable/Correctable, Remapped Rows, etc.) and their replacement criteria
• Basic English reading/writing ability; able to complete English-language work orders and on-site service reports
• Repair certification from mainstream server manufacturers such as Inspur/Dell/HPE is preferred
• Conscientious and responsible, with strong hands-on ability and good customer communication skills
