• Strong written English and ability to write clear, readable content.
• Comfortable using ChatGPT or Claude for research and writing.
• Detail-oriented and organized; SEO relies on small, consistent improvements.
• Nice-to-have: Mandarin proficiency to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Nice-to-have: Personal blog/site or social page demonstrating growth.
• Hands-on experience with Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4 and WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and shortlist keywords for client websites.
• Write and optimise SEO articles and web pages using AI tools.
• Update meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and images on WordPress sites.
• Submit local citations and optimise Google Business Profiles.
• Run site audits and fix issues like broken links and speed/indexing problems.
• Pull data from GSC, GA4 and Ahrefs to prepare monthly reports.
• Research how clients appear in AI tools and improve rankings.

Job description

You'll join the SEO team and work on real client accounts from week one. You'll learn how professional agencies do keyword research, content, technical SEO and reporting, using industry tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console and AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT. This is hands-on work with clear feedback and results you can put in your portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research: find and shortlist keywords for client websites using Ahrefs and Google tools
• Write and optimise SEO articles and web pages using AI tools, following content guidelines
• Update meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and images on client websites (WordPress)
• Submit local citations and help optimise Google Business Profiles
• Run site audits and track fixes such as broken links, speed issues and indexing problems
• Pull data from Google Search Console, GA4 and Ahrefs to prepare monthly client reports
• Research how clients appear in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, and how to improve it
• Opportunity for a full-time SEO Executive role after the internship, based on performance

About you

• Diploma or Degree student in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, English, IT or related fields
• Good written English, with the ability to write clear, simple, readable content
• Comfortable using ChatGPT or Claude for research and writing
• Detail-oriented and organised: SEO is about getting small things right, consistently
• Curious about how Google works and why some websites rank higher than others
• Nice-to-have: Basic knowledge of SEO, WordPress, Google Search Console or Google Analytics
• Nice-to-have: Able to write in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Nice-to-have: Your own blog, website or social media page you've grown
• Hands-on experience with paid tools like Ahrefs, plus Google Search Console, GA4 and WordPress
