Job summary

BlackRevo is seeking an experienced SEO lead to drive organic growth across a portfolio of client websites in Malaysia. You’ll own strategy, coordinate technical audits, content briefs, AI-optimized answers, and link-building while coaching a small team and refining in-house systems.

You’ll work with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush daily, write clearly for clients, and stay ahead of algorithm changes. Mandarin skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on SEO experience with demonstrable growth.
• Strong technical SEO skills including audits, Core Web Vitals, structured data.
• Strategic keyword and content planning that improves rankings and AI answers.
• Daily use of Search Console, GA4 and a tool like Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Proficient with AI tools like ChatGPT and quick to learn new systems.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to explain results simply to clients.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team is a plus.
• Mandarin language ability is an added advantage.

Job description

Lead the organic growth of our clients' websites, from the strategy to the report that proves it worked. You set the keyword and content plan, run technical audits, and get clients found both on Google and in AI answers such as Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT. Our in-house SEO system and AI tools take care of the routine checks and reports, so your time goes to strategy, clients and coaching the team. At least 3 years of hands-on SEO.

What you'll do

1. Strategy & Clients

• Own the SEO strategy for a portfolio of client websites: goals, keyword map, quarterly plan
• Present monthly results to clients and turn them into the next month's actions
• Spot new opportunities and pitch them to clients with the team

2. Technical SEO

• Run site audits and fix crawl, indexing, speed and structured-data issues with our developers
• Keep every client's Search Console healthy and act on algorithm updates

3. Content & AI Search

• Turn SERP research into content briefs; review writers' drafts before they go live
• Optimise for AI answers (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) as well as classic rankings
• Plan link building and digital PR that earn links from relevant sites

4. Team & Systems

• Coach junior SEO specialists: review their work and grow their skills
• Use and improve our in-house SEO system in Lumen; propose automation for repetitive work
• Embed the core values (Keep your word; Dare to think, dare to play; Growth and Breakthrough) in how the team works

5. Reporting

• Track rankings, traffic and leads for each client; report honestly on what worked and what did not

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years of hands-on SEO, with rankings and traffic you grew and can show
• Technical SEO: site audits, Core Web Vitals, structured data, crawl and indexing issues
• Keyword and content strategy that wins both search results and AI answers
• Uses Google Search Console, GA4 and a keyword tool such as Ahrefs or Semrush every day
• Uses AI tools such as ChatGPT as a matter of course, and is quick to learn new systems
• Clear writing and speaking in English; explains results to clients in plain words
• Owns the result: follows through on deadlines and reports honestly on what did and did not work
• Added advantage: experience leading or mentoring a small team
• Added advantage: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or WordPress and other CMSs
• Added advantage: speak and write Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking clients
