You’ll collaborate with SEO strategists and account managers to deliver on-brand, persuasive content that guides readers toward actions.

Responsibilities include researching keywords, crafting buyer-focused content, and maintaining quality through proofreading.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of writing experience welcomed
• Strong command of written English; Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese a plus
• Interest in SEO and digital marketing is a bonus
• Ability to write persuasively and distinguish educational from sales content
• Good research skills and ability to digest client/product information quickly
• Reliable and able to manage multiple articles across clients
• Willingness to ask questions and improve content quality proactively
• Portfolio or writing samples to share

As an SEO Content Writer at Newnormz, you'll produce keyword-optimised articles and product-focused content for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning e-commerce, B2B, and local Malaysian businesses. Every piece you produce should have a clear commercial or transactional angle that guides readers toward a product, service, or action. You'll work closely with our SEO strategists and account managers to understand each client's offering, audience, and goals, then translate that into content that feels natural, persuasive, and on-brand.

Key responsibilities

• Write SEO-optimised blog posts that drive clicks, leads, and sales for our clients
• Research target keywords and search intent, then craft content that matches what readers actually want to buy, book, or sign up for
• Weave in client products and services naturally, without sounding like a sales pitch or a keyword-stuffed wall of text
• Adapt tone and style across multiple client accounts and industries (e-commerce, B2B, and local Malaysian businesses)
• Collaborate with the SEO and account management teams on content briefs, keyword lists, and performance feedback
• Proofread and edit your own work for grammar, flow, and factual accuracy before submission
• Stay updated on basic on-page SEO best practices (meta titles, headers, internal linking, readability)
• Minimise repetition across articles for the same client — each piece should introduce fresh angles and add new value without recycling the same point

About you

• 0–2 years of writing experience (content writing, copywriting, journalism, or similar internships/freelance work welcome)
• Strong command of written English (Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese are a plus)
• A genuine interest in SEO and digital marketing — prior exposure to keyword research or content briefs is a bonus
• Ability to write persuasively — you understand the difference between an article that educates and one that sells
• Good research skills and comfort digesting client/product information quickly
• Reliable, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple articles across different clients at once
• Proactively ask questions, clarify uncertainties, and take initiative to improve content quality without waiting for every next step to be assigned
• Receive constructive and critical feedback with an open mind, apply it effectively, and find practical solutions when content challenges arise
• A portfolio or writing samples you're proud to share
