Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced Windows & VMware Administrator to support and architect enterprise server and virtualization environments. You will be the subject matter expert for Windows Server and VMware infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across a large-scale enterprise.

The role involves servicing Tier 2/3 tickets, designing storage solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

5-8 years of SME experience in VMware and Windows Server administration.
Bachelor's Degree required; basic networking knowledge is essential.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Enterprise environments, including RDS and DHCP.
Hands-on experience with VMware components (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T) and Nutanix.

Responsibilities

Handle Tier 2/3 problem-solving and resolve ServiceNow tickets across priority and service request queues.
Architect and support enterprise solutions using Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
Design and maintain mid-range and enterprise storage solutions for Windows server applications and databases.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and technical stakeholders, and produce concise technical documentation.
Direct vendor and internal support teams to diagnose and resolve system issues.
Perform server performance tuning, capacity monitoring, and proactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
Implement server security measures and support application teams with installations, upgrades, and job scheduling.
