Job summary

Marsh Insurance Brokers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Business Development to lead sales initiatives in Penang. This hybrid role will coordinate with Marsh teams and drive growth by managing key accounts, strategizing market approaches, and building a robust professional network.

You will oversee due diligence, marketing plans, and data-driven insights to identify opportunities and deliver value to clients, while collaborating with stakeholders across Marsh’s lines

Qualifications

• A Degree holder with at least 6-8 years of sales experience preferably within financial services industry or from a professional services firm.
• Passion for sales and networking with corporate professionals
• Excellent communication skills including articulation, grammar and persuasion
• Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities
• Strong business acumen and project management with exceptional analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales goals by maintaining and gaining large, high-yield accounts through referrals and strategic cold calls.
• Monitors market developments, trends, and competitors to identify opportunities.
• Drafts due diligence reports and presentations in response to RFPs or to assist senior colleagues.
• Constructs targeted marketing plans for offerings directed at potential accounts.
• Maintains professional network by joining organizations and attending events.
• Collects insights on relationship satisfaction and reports results to senior colleagues.
