Job summary

USER Experience Researchers in Cyberjaya, Malaysia seeks an experienced L2/L3 application and production support specialist. You will tackle BAU activities, system monitoring, and incident resolution while collaborating with development, infra, and DB teams.

Responsibilities include Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting, Oracle SQL and MySQL queries, and monitoring with Zabbix. You’ll engage in deployment support, change management, and on-call rotations, including weekends and public

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux, Application Support, Production Support, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and environments.
• Experience with Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL and database query language.
• Knowledge of MySQL and MySQL query language.
• Experience with production/support and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GitLab and source/version control processes.
• Knowledge of JFrog/Artifactory and artifact management.
• Experience or knowledge of Zabbix monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with technical teams.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and on-call including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application and production support for Unix/Linux environments.
• Perform daily BAU activities, operational support, system monitoring, and tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive incidents to resolution.
• Execute Unix/Linux commands and Shell scripts for administration and automation.
• Perform Oracle SQL and MySQL queries for data validation and support.
• Monitor health using Zabbix and respond to alerts.
• Collaborate with Dev, Infra, DB and other teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management.
• Support deployments and production changes when required.
• Prepare operational docs and troubleshooting guides.
• Shift and rotational on-call support, including weekends/public holidays.
• Ensure BAU tasks are completed within timelines.
