Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an experienced operations professional to support transfer agent and fund accounting functions in Kuala Lumpur.

You will manage investor registrations, FATCA/CRS compliance, tax form validation, and secure statement dispatch while performing daily reconciliations and addressing both internal and external stakeholder inquiries. The role requires 4–5 years in TA-related roles, deep knowledge of fund products and workflows, and flexibility to work in shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• TA experience in fund administration or transfer agency operations.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain record of the fund register and investors’ registration details.
• Ensure proper completion of account opening forms in line with Citi FATCA and CRS obligations.
• Validate US Tax forms and CRS self-certifications.
• Perform tax form validation and updates in GTAS, Paxus and FATCA engine.
• Verify signatures to confirm authority for orders or requests.
• Issue monthly investor statements and distribute securely by email or secure systems.
• Conduct daily end-of-day reconciliations for orders by type.
• Investigate discrepancies between collections and fund accounts.
• Provide solutions to reduce errors and ensure audit/compliance adherence.
• Back-up coverage for team members during peak periods.
• Perform cash and trade reconciliations and send reports to Fund Managers per SLA.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders (Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Cash and Settlements) and external stakeholders (fund managers, auditors).
• Meet reporting deadlines per client requirements.
• Lead and manage the team effectively; drive cost-saving enhancement projects.
