Job summary

Celestica is seeking an electronics-thermal engineer in Penang to drive thermal design, simulation, and validation across server and storage Systems. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to implement fan speed control and ensure robust cooling performance.

The role emphasizes developing liquid cooling solutions where applicable, documenting test plans, and performing acoustic and flow measurements to mitigate risk. You will work with heat sink vendors to balance cost and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in thermal design for electronic products.
• Preference for liquid cooling experience.
• Ability to document test plans and perform measurements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for thermal design, simulation analysis and test validation for electronic products; network/storage/server thermal design experience preferred.
• Liquid cooling product development experience is preferred.
• Design robust thermal solutions to meet specs, and collaborate with software team on fan speed control.
• Provide thermal simulation analysis from board to system chassis to verify feasibility and risk.
• Document thermal test plans and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, and acoustic measurements.
• Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define requirements and design products; experience in medium-sized teams.
• Interface with heat sink and air mover vendors to manage cost, quality and functionality.
• Work with functions teams to identify root causes of system failures.
