Job summary

Celestica Inc. is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer, Thermal Design in Penang to lead thermal design, simulation analysis, and test validation across electronic product families including network, storage, and server solutions.

Experience in liquid cooling development is preferred. You will design robust thermal solutions, collaborate with software teams on fan control, and validate feasibility through detailed simulations and measurements.

Qualifications

• Experience in thermal design and validation for electronic products.
• Ability to perform thermal simulations from board to system chassis level.
• Knowledge of liquid cooling product development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design robust thermal solutions to meet product specs and collaborate with software for fan control.
• Provide thermal simulations to verify feasibility and risk at board to system level.
• Document thermal test plans and perform thermal, airflow/impedance, and acoustic measurements.
• Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and drive product design.
• Coordinate with heat sink and air mover vendors to balance cost, quality and functionality.
• Identify root causes of system failures with cross-functional teams.

Detailed Description:

• Responsible for thermal design, simulation analysis and test validation for various electronic product , network/storage/server product thermal design experience is preferred,
• Liquid cooling product development experience is preferred.
• Design robust thermal solutions to meet product specifications, and cooperate with software team to implement fan speed control strategy.
• Provide thermal simulation analysis from board to system chassis level to verify thermal feasibility/risk.
• Document thermal test plan and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, acoustic measurements.
• Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define system requirements, and design products. Experience in working in medium sized multidisciplinary development teams.
• Interface with heat sink and air mover vendors to keep up to manage cost, quality and functionality.
• Work with function team to identify route cause of system failure.
