Job summary

Lumileds is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to sustain test processes, develop test systems, and support manufacturing functional testing and operations. You will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, analyze datasets, improve UPH, yield and efficiency, and work with production supervisors, process engineering, IE, and equipment engineering to provide technical leadership.

The role focuses on backend process quality, process capability, and reducing variation, while driving cost improvements.

Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified engineer to take responsibility on Lumileds Test Process sustenance, test system development and operation.

Position Summary:

Lumileds is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to take responsibility for supporting Test Engineering Process, major on manufacturing functional testing process and also operation process sustenance (with Test development activities).

What You Will Do:

• Co-ordinate and lead in Key Project Initiatives with Cross Functional Teams example executing process improvement activities, coordinating calibration and day to day production activities.
• Perform data analysis from different dataset to find insight for project improvement.
• Helping operation team in improvement project such as UPH, process yield and efficiency improvement.
• Help operation team for yield loss analysis and feedback observations to the key individual.
• Work with supporting group example production supervisors, process Engineering, IE depart, Equipment Engineering on technical supports when required.
• Focus on backend process & quality control performance.
• Focus on process capability and manufacturability. Minimize process variation (WOV).
• Provides technical leadership with breadth & depth in a given field that is critical to Lumileds success. Well versed with related technology and its latest development and be well recognized as a consultant in given field.
• Recommends directions or application of new technologies in line with business strategy and needs.
• Lead multi-dept/function programs that directly impacts business strategy and be the key technical decision maker.
• Provide process engineering support to new product evaluation and qualification, manufacturing cost reduction and process improvement.
• Perform tests and data analysis, highlight quality concerns.
• Analyze failures to better understand failure mechanism.
• Design/ Implement quality plan for step up monitors.
• Lead and drive projects to improve product and process, Yield, Quality and cost or performance through design or process changes.
• Monitors in-house performance, quality and reliability of processes, materials, products, tooling and equipment; identifies problem or unfavorable deviations, recommends and executes corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior test engineers, fostering analytical thinking, structured problem solving and technical decision-making capabilities.
• Complies with environment, security, health, and safety requirements.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Contributes ideas and work in team in develop and improving the existing and new products.
• Solve moderate scope problems by applying of existing techniques/technology within the project/assignment in thorough and timely manner.
• Be part of small work group/support teams responsible for a portion of projects, or work alone on projects that impact business operations and resulting in timely completion of projects.
• MSA Correlation & GR&R knowledge is required.
• Lead and coach junior test engineers.

• 5 - 7 years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in LED and semiconductor testing is preferred.
• Know-how on the phosphor technology, LEDs functional test and also hands-on for machine repair and maintenance, as well as leadership and mentorship in a small team.
• Familiar with Design qualification matrix (DOE).
