Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced equipment maintenance professional in Penang to support daily test equipment setup, calibration, and repair, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support test handlers and Pick-and-Place machines in a semiconductor environment.

The role requires at least 5 years in maintenance, a technical diploma, and the ability to work independently with strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with Pick-and-Place and Test Handler (SRM) machines in a test equipment engineering environment preferred.
• Strong trouble shooting skills and total maintenance capability.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily test equipment setup, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance activities for all test machinery to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Duties/Job Responsibilities:

Perform machine conversion, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment

Diagnose and resolve machine and equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Operate, maintain, support and experience in Test department Pick-and-Place machines.

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on test handler (SRM) machines.

Ensure that an optimal inventory of spare parts are available and maintained in the plant or nearby vendor sites to minimize major equipment downtime.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

Adhere to all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.

Any other job responsibilities assigned by the supervisor as and when required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

Required skill(s) :Total maintenance skill; good knowledge in machine trouble shooting.
