Job summary

Renesas Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Test Maintenance Technician to support Final Test operations in a high-volume semiconductor environment. You will maintain stable test performance, support equipment and hardware, and ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The role requires a Diploma in Electronic Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering and hands-on experience with ATE platforms and test handlers. Independent work and teamwork in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering/ Mechatronic Engineering
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanical systems
• Proficiency with ATE platforms UltraFLEX, V93K, T2000 and tape/handler systems
• Familiarity with handler/prober mechanics and thermal control systems
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
• High initiative to troubleshoot complex hardware/software systems
• Rigorous attention to detail and procedures
• Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments
• Ability to read datasheets, test limits, and schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, 3/6 monthly preventative maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors
• Clean and replace consumables like contactor pins, sockets, and indexers
• Calibrate test system instruments (voltage sources, digital pins, parametric PMUs)
• Troubleshoot hardware issues related to test cell (mechanical/electrical/thermal)
• Support Test Engineers in correlating failures and root cause data
• Collaborate with Engineers to implement process improvements and resolve yields
• Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports

• Troubleshoot hardware issues related to the test cell, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems
• Support Test Engineers in correlating failures and gathering data for root cause analysis.
• Work closely with Engineers to implement process improvements and resolve yield issues
• Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports

We are seeking fresh/experienced Test Maintenance Technician to support and sustain Final Test (FT) operations in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining stable test performance, supporting equipment and hardware, and ensuring consistent product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
