Job summary

Renesas Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim is seeking a Test Maintenance Technician to support Final Test operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining stable test performance and ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering, strong electronics/mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with ATE platforms and handlers, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanical concepts.
• Experience with ATE platforms and tape handlers is a major plus.
• Familiarity with handler/prober mechanics and thermal control systems.
• Data analysis and problem-solving skills with attention to patterns.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets, test limits, and schematics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, 3/6 monthly preventive maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors.
• Clean and replace consumable parts like contactor pins, sockets, and indexers.
• Perform routine calibration of the test system’s instruments (voltage sources, digital pins, parametric measurement units).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues related to the test cell, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal problems
• Support Test Engineers in correlating failures and gathering data for root cause analysis.
• Work closely with Engineers to implement process improvements and resolve yield issues
• Participate in failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports
