Job summary

Versa Manufacturing Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Technician - Secondary Process (Sub-Assembly) to lead sub-assembly operations and troubleshoot machine errors. You will apply advanced knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient production and act as a technical liaison between engineers, clients, and the production team.

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in machine troubleshooting and sub-assembly monitoring.
• Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and industrial machinery.
• Skilled in reading and drawing electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor sub-assembly processes, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Lead troubleshooting of machine errors (electrical and mechanical), guiding junior technicians in corrective actions.
• Apply advanced knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems to diagnose and resolve complex equipment faults.
• Conduct and review electrical checks (continuity, voltage, insulation resistance) to validate machine performance.
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings; provide guidance to team members on diagram accuracy.

Senior Technician - Secondary Process (Sub-Assembly)

Lead secondary process activities by overseeing sub-assembly operations and troubleshooting machine errors. Apply advanced knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Act as a key technical liaison between engineers, clients, and the production team.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and monitor sub-assembly processes, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Lead troubleshooting of machine errors (electrical and mechanical), guiding junior technicians in corrective actions.

Apply advanced knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems to diagnose and resolve complex equipment faults.

Conduct and review electrical checks (continuity, voltage, insulation resistance) to validate machine performance.

Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings; provide guidance to team members on diagram accuracy.

Communicate effectively with engineers and clients to report issues, propose solutions, and support technical discussions.

Document troubleshooting activities, repair actions, and inspection results, ensuring proper reporting and traceability.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sub-assembly efficiency and reduce downtime.

Ensure adherence to EHS protocols and ISO 9001/ISO 14001 requirements across the team.

About you

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in machine troubleshooting and sub-assembly monitoring.

Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and industrial machinery.

Skilled in reading and drawing electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

Proven leadership ability to supervise technicians and coordinate with engineers/clients.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
