Job summary

Waftech Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Assembly Technician/Assembly Engineer (Mechanical/Wiring) to lead assembly, integration, testing and troubleshooting of automation machinery on production lines.

You will work with Mechanical, Electrical and Software teams to resolve build issues, ensure quality standards are met, and implement improvements based on engineering change requests. Five years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronic) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in assembly/automation.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Ability to manage projects independently with discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automation machines, modules and sub-assemblies per drawings and BOMs.
• Test, troubleshoot and improve assemblies during build and commissioning.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical and Software teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure all assembly work complies with quality, safety and production standards.
• Perform machine rework and modifications per engineering change requests.

Job description

Senior Assembly Technician/ Assembly Engineer (Mechanical/Wiring) - Production

Responsible for the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of automation machinery and equipment according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

Assemble automation machines, modules, and mechanical sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, adjustment, and integration of machine components.

Conduct machine troubleshoot assembly-related issues.

Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams to resolve technical problems during machine build.

Ensure all assembly work complies with quality, safety, and production standards.

Perform machine rework, modification, and improvement based on engineering change requests.

Identify and report design, manufacturing, or assembly issues to the relevant departments.

Ensure tools, equipment, and workstations are maintained in good condition.

Candidate must process at least a Certificate in Engineering either Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Technical experience in mechanical & electrical.

Ability to work independently and self-discipline in managing projects.

Good project management and analytical skills.
