LSPCM Johore in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Technician (Mechanical / Electrical / Production) to lead and perform operational, maintenance and troubleshooting activities. The role ensures machinery and production systems run safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Senior Technician is responsible for leading and carrying out operational, maintenance and troubleshooting activities within the assigned specialization. The position ensures that machinery, equipment and production systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably with minimal downtime.
Candidates will be assigned according to their relevant specialization: Electrical, Mechanical or Production.
Job Responsibilities
Carry out and lead daily inspections, operational checks, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot equipment, machinery or production-related problems and perform immediate corrective actions.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize disruption to production.
Monitor equipment condition, production parameters and operational performance.
Ensure machinery, tools and systems are safe and ready for operation.
Guide and supervise junior technicians, operators and general workers when required.
Coordinate with engineers, production, maintenance, quality and safety teams.
Assist in equipment installation, modification, testing and commissioning activities.
Maintain accurate daily checklists, maintenance records, breakdown reports and technical documentation.
Monitor the availability of tools, spare parts and materials required for assigned work.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, productivity, quality and workplace safety.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety procedures, Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, PPE and 5S requirements.
Perform other duties assigned by the Engineer, Supervisor or Head of Department.
Electrical
Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain motors, control panels, electrical circuits, sensors, MCCs, inverters and other electrical systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and assist with PLC and control-system troubleshooting.
Mechanical
Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, piping and other mechanical equipment.
Perform repair, fitting, alignment, welding and equipment replacement work where required.
Production
Operate and monitor production machinery, equipment and process parameters.
Ensure production activities meet safety, quality, output and delivery targets.
Identify process abnormalities and coordinate corrective action with the relevant maintenance team.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma, Certificate or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing, heavy industry or plant environment.
Strong hands-on troubleshooting, equipment maintenance or production-operation experience.
Able to guide junior technicians and coordinate work activities.
Able to read technical drawings, manuals and operational procedures.
Good knowledge of workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices.
Electrical competency certificates such as PW4, AO, A1 or other relevant certification will be an added advantage for Electrical candidates.
Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.
