Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim is seeking a Senior Technician in Equipment Engineering (Metal Deposition) to maintain and troubleshoot front-end deposition equipment. You will work in a multinational team on complex manufacturing lines.

Candidate should have a Diploma in Engineering and 5+ years semiconductor equipment experience, with knowledge of OEE/ SPC tools and a readiness to work shifts in a manufacturing setting. This role is on-site in Kulim, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics or vocational training.
• 5+ years front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.
• Familiar with OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI, Digital Manufacturing and Automation.
• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural multinational environment.
• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Able to work in shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to the maintenance schedules and specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform unscheduled maintenances to ensure quality recovery and minimum down time.
• Prepare daily scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activity reports for engineers and supervisors and maintain equipment spare parts and consumables
• Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs and support new equipment hookup and startup activities.
• Adhere to company 5S, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies.
• Support activity related to production equipment, such as material preparation.

Your new responsibilities

What we look for

• Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Engineering, preferably in the field of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics or vocationally trained.


• More than 5 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience.


• Experienced in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.


• Familiar with OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI, Digital Manufacturing and Automation.


• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.


• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.


• Able to work in shift rotation.
