Job summary

ams OSRAM Group in Malaysia is seeking a senior equipment engineer for front-end wafer fabrication to maintain and optimize production tools.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvements using OEE, SPC, FDC, FMEA, DMAIC, and ensure compliance with 5S, EHS, and quality management systems. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and at least 8 years of relevant experience are required, with a track record of working in multi-national environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools (OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI).

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to the maintenance schedules and specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform unscheduled maintenances to ensure quality recovery and minimum down time
• Prepare daily scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activity reports for engineers and supervisors
• Maintain equipment spare parts and consumables
• Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs
• Support new equipment hookup and startup activities
• Adhere to company 5S, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies
• Support activity related to production equipment, such as material preparation

Who we are looking for

• Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Sciene. Candidate with Master's Degree or PhD will have an addded advantage.
• Must have at least 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience, competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development
• Experienced in leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production)
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.
• Skilled in OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI.
